   hi,

   im new here and i need your help guys,
   i recently got into video editing for recreational purposes.
   anyway, i want my videos to look somewhat professional,
   some of the things i want:
   - to be able to split screen in half or fourths and play seperate vids in each
   - to cut out frames efficiently and make clips have a stop motion feel
   - to import a transparent strip and place text over it

   i just need something versatile (better than movie maker)
   any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

   have you tried adobe premiere for PC and final cut for MAC? they are professional software but i'm sure you can accomplish what you want. Another alternative is iMovie from Apple. good luck - let me know if you need any help.

   try pinnacle or adobe premiere pro, and then go on youtube.com to learn how do edit and do stuff

   actually i was just wondering which software is suitable for what I wanna do. I just want to edit simple home videos.
