Florane Guerrier, a talented young Haitian actress and model, passed away on Tuesday January 12, 2010 - the same day the massive earthquake hit Haiti. She was 24.
Guerrier, best known for the movie drama/romantic Le Prix a Payer, died after a long illness in a Fort Lauderdale hospital, according to James Leger, who describe himself as a close friend.
Her family did not reveal details about her illness, but said it was related to complications from the December 13th incident, James said.
Florane was born in February of 1985. She attended acting school in Haiti at the age of 10 then took an interest in modeling.
Florane made her big splash in the Haitian Movie Industry in 2009’s ‘Le Prix a Payer,’ a Mora Junior Etienne Film, in which she played the character of Tamara. She went on to co-star in popular films like ‘The Forgotten Father‘ with Perry Cassagnol and ‘Reno 911,’ where she played a small part.
This is indeed one of the saddest deaths in the Haitian movie industry. Florane was a wonderful actress and she will be missed greatly. To all her family and friends who knew her our heart goes out to all of you. She will be sorely missed.
RIP Flo!

Florane, RIP my nubian queen.
Most importantly, my condolences to your family and friends for this horrific lost. I am still in shock by this awful news. The images of your always smiling face and the fun that you, the rest of my cast and my crew had had on the set of THE FORGOTTEN FATHER will never part us. The entire cast and crew are in total shock!
As for me, I will truly, truly miss you my colleague, my friend! Your thoughts will be with me always…….Perry Cassagnol.

it is so unfortunate to see a young girl like that lost her life when she has so to accomplish.however, those who may still have the chance to live life to the foolish please be carefull with yourself you know today but you have no clue on tomorrow.she was only 24 years old i actually didn’t know her personnaly i regret that she had to go in such early age.my heart and prayer to her family.i expected movie producers start thinking on doing a nice movie about her.i’m pretty sure they’ll find some exciting stuff about her to talk about.i also wanna send a big shotout to my boy tutu aka the badest producer in the haitian community ya heard me.
