Pluie D’espoir

Pluie d’Espoir is a movie based on the story of a young peasant named Toussaint from the Haitian Provinces. His instinct for survival is strong. He has come to Port-au-Prince not only to survive, but also to strive with dignity and achieve a place for himself, his family and the coworkers he left behind.

On the road to his destiny, he encounters many obstacles. He learns about city life, modern inventions and technology. He develops relationships that bring joy and pain to his life. Pluie d’Espoir is a picturesque tale that will capture your heart and move you beyond words.

    I am glad to see that finally that Pluie d’Espoir is coming out. My girf friend is Haitian and she thinks that this is the best Haitian film out there. She did not want me to buy the bootleg version and I agreed. I want to see this film so badly because I was told that it was superb!
    When I read what Jacques Roc had to say I am glad that we didn’t buy it, because we whould have missed out on the 12 scenes he talks about. Please keep me posted when the movie is released so I can buy the original DVD

    Pluie d’Espoir un film rempli de lecons, d’histoire, d’emotions et d’ambition. Un homme ordinaire se transforme en un homme extraordinaire. Nous avons tous besoin d’un brin d’encouragement dans notre vie, de perseverance et la foi. Toussaint est ce brin d’encouragement, ce feu qui brule en lui et ce qu’il a accompli anime par la foi, l’endurance et la poursuite de son reve nous en dit long. Pluie d’espoir de Jacques Roc un long metrage ou quelque chose de magique et de miraculeux se produit. J’ai hate que ce film fasse sa grande premiere.

    Un mot pour résumer ce film, super film. Je considère ce film comme un chef-d’oeuvre du Cinema Haitien. Pluie d’Espoir nous voyons le talent cinematographique que nous avons chez nous. Heureux d’apprendre que ce film fera sa grande premiere sous peu. Un film genial a mon gout.

    To be honest, I’ve already seen the bootleg version at my friend’s house but that won’t stop me from seeing it on a BIG screen. This the most awesome Haitian movie I’ve ever seen. The production team and actors did such a wonderful job in Pluie d’Espoir, that everybody should at least pay to watch it. Do it for the hard work of casts and crews, do it for the director Jacques Roc and most importantly do it for Ginou Mondesir (R.I.P.). Please keep us posted on when it’s coming to the US.

    When I saw this post from Movie lakay’s Facebook page, I thought it was a scam to visit this website. But I was totally wrong. This is the most exciting news in the Haitian Movie industry now. After so long, so many pirated copies, so many people had already seen the bootleg version, I think this is very brave from the production to still have a premiere. However, I believe a lot of people will still want to see the 12 missing scenes, including me. I’d love to see Ginou Mondesir’s face once again.

    Je suis ravi de savoir que finalement, apres toute cette attente que ce grand film Haitien qui a fait tant d’eclat sera sur nos ecrans. J’espere aussi que le DVD original avec ces scenes manquantent sortira bientot. Jacques Roc vous etez un realisateur unique pour avoir creer ce monde magique dans votre film. Nous attendons tous mes soeurs et freres la grande premiere de ce beau film que nous n’avons pas encore vue. On a remarque dans le trailer des images comme vous l’avez dit des scenes qui ne sont pas dans la version pirate. Merci encore pour ce grand cadeau cinematopraphique Mr Jacques Roc. Votre Pluie d’Espoir est beaucoup plus qu’une Pluie d’Etoile.

    This trailer is awsome! This looks like it is a great movie. The images are well filmed.I can’t believe that’s a Haitian film. When is this movie coming out? I read all this stuff about a bootleg copy, is-it any good? Anyway I am not interested in bootleg of any sorts.

    Jacques Roc is a great director, I’m looking forward to see this movie again because the version I saw was not completed.

    I just heard the sad news of the earthquake that nearly destroyed all of the country of Haiti. It made me think of the wonderful film of Jacques Roc; pluie d’ Espoir. I am still waiting for it to be on the big screen. Wouldn’t be nice if they release the movie sometime soon to show that these people have hope in their heart and soul. Haitians are great people and in the movie Toussaint appeared to be of that nature. Went back to his lovely wife and didn’t fall for that urban woman, though she seems that she loved him. I really love this film!
