I don’t really see what trailer is about?

  • Rob

Yo, this Trailer look Sick! I can’t wait to see this movie, the actors look on point. Well done Sam and the rest of the crew.

  • Rob

@ MIKA so what if this movie was all in English, I’ve been watching alot of African movies lately only because I am able to understand what they are saying. So i’m proud of Haitian filmmakers that choose to expand their work behond that Haitian market. That is called moving forward. Al chita yon kote :( ti makak!

  • Staroudly Choute-Simon

MEA CULPA, Can’t wait to check it in November 2011. Kudos, to the writer and actress Falia Justima and Actor JB Justima

  • Ronald

Guys, you know I have to say when I see it….This probably going to be a good movie, but the trailer doesn’t do it for me, I don’t really have a clue what this movie is going to be about base on the trailer only….So I have to read the synopsis to understand it….One thing I have observed, the director copy the movie’s trailer “Obsessed” starring by Byonce Knoles, the exact same thing, therefore there is no originality here, even the music at the beginning was the director of the movie Obsessed “ idea…lol….man u must be crazy to do something like that bro, u can get sue for that, everybody know about Beyonce and some other Mega star in Hollywood, (I know this story is not copyright); we call that plagiarism. I can’t show this trailer to my American friend because they will tell me that there is no originality here…..This is a big Fail for this trailer…..”Deja Vue”…..Fail, be original, use your mind, be creative….Faillllll!!!!!!

  • Rob

@ veyeyo sorry to say but you got to be really stupid to not get this trailer, it clearly show a men who made some kind of mistake but is trying to keep it from his wife to be, but seem distress cuz things are getting out of his control. Watch it again bro bro cuz taht’s what i got from it!

  • dude

@veyeyo…..if you don’t understand what the trailer is about, here is a tips for you..JUST TASE YOURSELF. stupid.

  • Jessica

    @ Renaldo
Yo man tell me about one movie you directed before, and I’ll tell you what fail is ok. You are a tipical haitien you just hate the fact that this is going to be a great movie and you don’t like that. you know what I call people like you pretenders, haters. I watched the movie obssessed you’re talking about and the upcoming film is original no samilarity. I think you’re stupid and dunm as hell. al chita nan youn kwen makak ou kon movie.

  • La Capoise

@Ronald…if those guys are imitating Hollywood there is a lot of hope for the Haitian movie industry. If you want to be good at basketball who are you going to imitate??? Michael Jordan! If you want to be good at golf, copy Tiger Wood… It’s about time that the Haitian film makers start to imitate the real deal, not the usual crap they have been producing… So Ronald you just paid a big compliment to the producer. It looks like I will have to invite all my friends and family to see that movie.
BTW that trailer is awesome, this is a first in the Haitian community and I got it right away. So, you must be a little slow…

  • Ronald

@Jessica and Lacpoise, don’t be mad at me because I think your trailer is a plagiarism from the movie “Obsessed” starring from Beyonce Knoles, If you want i can’t put the link here people can compare the idea to see what I’m talking about….be original i can respect you more, you don’t used your mind, you just copy the exact trailer idea, which I think you did a terrible job copying it….c’mon Mr. Director…you got caught….if you keep answer me i will put the link here in this website people can see it for themselves…..playing basketball and copy some other director or writer idea are two different things brother, this is the reason I called it “PLAGIARISM”. I’m not a filmmaker nor producer I’m just a Haitian movie’s consumer, if I see something that I don’t like, I have to say it, stop being mad, next time be original, used your mind and be productive I will respect your art better….If you do that, I will give you two thumbs up like I gave MR. Maxime who is the director of the movie “Relationship” his respect that he deserve…..I don’t want to see “deja vue”, which I think you did a terrible job copy it….like I always say at the end of my post, good luck on your future project, best of all, be original and creative and use your mind….STOP THE COPY CAT MADNESS!!!!!

  • THE_TRUTH

    WELL SAID ROBERT!!!!

“It is better to fail in originality, than to succeed in imitation… period” M.J.

THOUGH IMITATION IS A FORM OF FLATTERY, HOWEVER COPYING A MOVIE’S MAIN PLOT, THEME, SHOTS, ETC——IS JUST PLAIN STUPID AND WRONG—-YOU HAITIAN FILM MAKERS NEED TO SERIOUSLY STOP THAT NON-SENSE—-PUT YOUR SMALL BRAINS TO WORK (SOME OF YOU)

    FOR THAT—I GIVE THIS TRAILER/MOVIE A DESERVING

    D- FOR EFFORTS
F- FOR LACK OF NEW IDEAS

  • dude

Any publicity is good publicity. KEEP THEM COMING!

  • La Capoise

@ Ronald sounds like you have already seen the movie, I will wait to see it before I make a fool out of myself.

  • Jonas

@ Renald I can’t help but sense some tension from your writing, it seem so personal for you, I mean if you were just Haitian movie consumer which I don’t believe you are you would not go out of your way to criticize this project like you have, I don’t by it. if it quacks like a duck it’s a duck face it you are a hater that’s all hiding behind some phony name to crush some body’s work, shame shame!

  • Jessica

    @ Renaldo & The-Truth,
Listen, this is not my movie or my trailer. I just think all you haters needs to stop hating and judging, from what I see in the trailer this is nothing compare to Obsess ok. The way you’re talking you make me feel like you have a personal issue with the director or the producer, if that’s the case you need to stop hating and tell the truth of what you really think of the trailer. when are we going to really encourage the Haitians actors, directors and producers for their hard work like the Africans do. For me I don’t care what you think or say I just want to know where the premiere is going to be, so i can try to make it because I would love to see this movie. This is not my battle nor yours, but if you want to take it any further be my guess idiot.

  • Belle L’or

What did I miss??? This looks like it will be hot. where can I get it?

  • I’M Just Saying

Are “we” hating on the trailer or are “we” hating on the movie? I’m confused. Because I do believe Obessed is a remake of Fatal Attraction. I’m just saying. You guys on here quoting Michael Jordan be original and come up with your own quotes. Isn’t that what we are talking about: originality.

  • HOLLYWOOD

Why do people feel offended, when someone point out a mistake. Idiots listen YOU should be happy when people point out your mistake, so like that you won’t have to do them AGAIN. This trailer is nice, I love the quality, and finally those Haitian Filmmakers are using the right Quips, and nice RGB color correction. You guys are doing an OK job. But please don’t be mad when someone gives their opinion, it’ll help you on your future project. PLEASE BE ORIGINAL, for ex: Tonton Bicha= Originality. Dumb Ass “Pe Chabi= Fail, copy cat, lack of creativity. Damn you people pisses me off.

  • Belle L’or

There are a lot of questions here??? CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND THIS MOVIE? NOW I REALLY WANT TO SEE IT, TOO MUCH CONTROVERSY.

  • Belle L’or

I don’t know about anyone else but, I see progress in the trailer. It’s about time that Haitians stop hating. I don’t believe the trailer is so bad, and I have seen the movie obsessed many times. I am more interested in the story. Once again can anyone tell me where I can get this movie??? This is too juicy.

  • La Capoise

I AGREE WITH “I AM JUST SAYING” WHAT ARE WE FIGHTING ABOUT? THE MOVIE OR THE TRAILER?
@ RENALD, YOU SEEM TO HAVE ALL THE 411 ON THIS MOVIE. CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET IT? PLEASE!

  • Patrick

this whole trailer is good but the accident scene at the end is crazy, I’m sold I got to get a copy or go to that premier. Anyone know where it’s ganna be @?

  • Wilfred

    Nicely done!

  • Tonton Meda

I’m not an expert to judge, but I don’t see why this movie make such a low score “5.7/10″.

Not sure whose idea it is to compare this movie with Obsessed but whoever started it probably did not see the entire obsessed movie. The story plots are clearly different. Genre is same though. The driving plot of the story “The Obsessed Woman” the way it evolves and develop is quite different. Obsessed is similar to Basic Instinct by Michael Douglas.

The male figure in Obsessed did nothing wrong,
whereas in Mea Culpa Charles’ drama is emanating from a dirt in his past that has been resurrected

    No car accident in Obsessed

Mea Culpa, the couple have been together since they were in teenage years… Not the case in Obsessed

As I read comments, I realized that people are confused about a number of things. They interchangeably fault the trailer, the director, the story which leads me to think that they simply want to say something bad about the movie.

Just because Basic instinct was made it did not prevent Obsessed from being made while they both addressed the issue of an obsessed woman. And so I dont think Obsessed should prevent a Haitian version of the intricacies one would have to navigate with an obsessed Haitian woman.

Watch the movie first guys. It is hard to deduce the quality of an entire move from a 2.5 minute preview.
