Well. I like the quality. I’m a hard critic because I really want to see Haitians aim for excellence in the movie industry. Don’t get me wrong, from what it looks like I think this will be better then most Haitian movies that I have seen, and believe me I have seen a lot.I just think the main character could have be a little more high scale and clean cut since he has a lot of money. He is not smooth enough to show that he is confident in his lifestyle and can’t easily be caught and stopped without a challenge. The women could be more attractive for her role. She doesn’t look scared and anxious and panic mode. Nether does the Spanish guy This is a good storyline and the quality is above average but the casting was rushed. Casting will make or break your story. The BET judges have to see, why is it that these people cannot afford for their cats to come out of the closet and most importantly, they have to see why is this guys so unstoppable. Just because a guys is illegal, have no papers, and operate using cash only, does not make him untraceable by US law enforcement agencies. I can think of so many ways that he would be caught without any efforts at all. So my point to all of this is This guy has to be slick and highly intelligent. Even for FBI agents. The profile is good but his wardrobe and demeanor is not on point to highlight this thriller. Just my opinion from the eye of a movie buff.

This is for Rose Francois, I’m haitian and I love my haitian people, but this is not a haitian film. You have haitian actors in it, that doesn’t make it a haitian film. So you can not compare it to a haitian movie.
I give respect to the writer & director though for putting a nice trailor together. I have to see this movie before I comment on it. I have to see it for myself first, but the trailor looks great, well I guess I already said that
If anyone knows how I can get it to watch it, please let me know. here’s my email MarieP002@yahoo.com
Great Job Movie lakay for keeping us updated.

This is in reference to Rose comment.
I understand your point of view Rose; however, I think the purpose of the actor character is to allow people to intentionally overlook who he is. If people could discover the intent of the actor, then the movie would be very easy to figure out. For example, in the real world people are constantly surprise to discover certain people that does not fit the stereo type we human being have made. Why? you may ask. I believe many people have a perception of how things should be, or should not be. as a result, they limit themselves from seeing the big picture. If one is not careful enough, and be open minded; they will always wonder how could he/she has done this.
By the way we both agree that the director, producer, and cast members has done a great job.
I have seen the short film. if you want additonal information, or perhaps yo may want to see it, go to lunerversalfilm.com and give your support.

To Marie and Nate,
like I said I support Haitian movies because how can I look forward to better quality if I don’t support. The purpose of my comment is to encourage good to be better and better to be best. I never criticize where I know budget is the issue, my criticism is always base on shortcomings not affected by a low budget.
If Employed is not a Haitian movie and it’s more for the American market than it definitely falls short of the high quality standard that the American market is costumed to. Would the American market go to Movico to watch this movie based on the trailer? Realistically, would you pay Movico money to go see it? you might say yes but most Americans would not because it looks like an a mature project when it compares to the American market.
When it come to the Haitian market however, it looks like it’s at the top of the list. That’s because our market is young and is developing. But how will our Haitian producers aim for top notch quality if we never give them feedback? If we are satisfied with whatever they put out. Even the American market get tired of the same thing. They want more, better, faster, crazier, more dramatic movies. They want to see progress. Same here. I am a faithful costumer of Haitian movies because I love to see progress. I don’t buy bootlegs by the way! Now MovieLakay have giving the means for me to give feedback and that is what I intend to do. (only on potentially great producers works, if they just suck then my criticism won’t help them because they just don’t have the talent)
This director want to make this a full length film. Well I want him to think about what I have to say and take it under consideration. I obviously think he can do better, otherwise I would not waste my time to write. He looks like he can put on a great show with this project, I just want him to polish his characters.
In regards to what Nate said, if he wanted us (the audience) to think “you would have never guess this guy could black mail all these people” based on what the character look like and his demeanor then, he should build the suspense by not revealing that this guy is the guy behind all of this madness. Then the audience (we) could be surprised by our own stereotype of what we taught the guy would look like. But since we see the guy, we know he is the blackmailer, we will feel that the character is confident in his ability to pull this off and not be intimidated. If he does give you that vibe then you will not be able to relate as to why all these people have a hard time bringing him down.
Like I said this is constructive criticism. It can be better but that will not stop me from supporting.
By the way I assume this is a movie targeting the Haitian market because it’s posted on this site. If it’s not targeted to the Haitian market then he is promoting it on the wrong site.
(PRODUCERS, DIRECTORS, MOVIE MAKERS, DON’T BE LAZY WITH YOUR PROJECTS. PERFECT YOUR CRAFT! GO TO SCHOOL, OR DO YOUR HOMEWORK, AND BE CREATIVE. IT WILL PAY OFF IN THE LONG RUN.
I would like for even the American market to watch our movies in subtitle because of what they see and hear like some of those other foreign films
