At last night’s official award ceremony held in the National Theatre in Sarajevo, Keziah Jean, a student at Haiti’s Cine Institute, collected the Katrin Cartlidge Foundation bursary on behalf of her school and her fellow students.

For the first time in the Foundation’s history the bursary was awarded to an institution rather than an individual. The curator of the 2010 award was Annie Nocenti.

Actress Florane Guerrier’s memorial service took place at the Notre-Dame Catholic Church in Little Haiti on Saturday, January 30, 2010.

Florane died after a long illness in a Fort Lauderdale hospital on January 12, 2010.

On Tuesday December 22nd, 2009, a lot of people flock to casting call for T Delerme’s new age comedy movie MIAMI HOUND DOGS at Purdy Lounge in Miami Beach.

Miami Hound Dogs is about three modern day casanovas (Cairo, Xavier and D’andre) known for whipping it up with the ladies. Miami is their playground and the weekends are when the games begin. Their weekend itinerary consist of the typical trifecta of beaches, parties and most importantly girls. But, this particular weekend doesn’t go as planned.

Mary Jane is a story about a young girl who had a tragic childhood. The story is told through the eyes of 26 year old Mary Jane. After traveling to New York to escape her pass, nine years later. She is now back to face that past.

On November 20th, 2009, Zafè Pa Nou (Our Things) Troupe celebrated its world premiere play “Beblozay kay Magueritte” at the North Miami Senior High School.

Beblozay kay Magueritte is about empowering and reconstruct a family’s life. It is a unique combination of imitates elderly, movement and visual comedy.

Starring Marie Alma Casamajor (Magueritte), Johnny Fleurinord (Tonton Nord), Nan Ranyon, Met Kay and Smith Cassamajor.
