Actor Frantz Design is Now Directing; Katalog Changed his Name

Frantz Design was once a Radio Host who ended up as an actor. Now he has become a director with a film named “Pêle-mêle”.
Of course, Pêle-mêle is not his first production venture; however, Frantz stated that it will certainly be one of the biggest as it stars Desmas Duclair and Vladimir Virgile and will be directed by Frantz himself.

‘We Are The World’ Director Celebrates Premiere With Haitian Film Students

NEW YORK — “We Are the World: 25 for Haiti” director Paul Haggis was responsible for putting together the visuals for the remake of the iconic musical hit. In the spirit of the original version’s charitable effort for Africa, the new effort was created to help the survivors of Haiti’s massive earthquake last month.
So, to make sure the new “We Are the World” video resonated with viewers, Haggis used Haitian film students as part of his crew.

Actress Florane Guerrier’s memorial service took place at the Notre-Dame Catholic Church in Little Haiti on Saturday, January 30, 2010.
Florane died after a long illness in a Fort Lauderdale hospital on January 12, 2010.

‘Natalie’ Director Talks About Sequel

Samuel Vincent’s psychological thriller Natalie was so successful and well-received that the director is planning a sequel.
On January 12, 2010, Vincent updated his Facebook profile with the following message,

Best Haitian DVD Extra Bonus Features

Believe it or not, I watch my DVDs for the movies - but I keep them for the bonus features. You know, the extras - those deleted scenes, interviews, “making of”, storyboards, and so on and so on. All the behind-the-scenes stuff that many discs come bundled with today. Those features are more than enough to get me spend my hard-earned cash on my favorite flicks.
It’s a shame that I don’t find too many Haitian DVDs with extras and they often fall into the “I’ve been meaning to get to that” category. Continue reading…

Haitian singer Wyclef Jean wants to compile footage he shot of the horror in Haiti into a hard-hitting movie so that the world will understand the earthquake relief effort.
Wyclef said:
“You’re seeing a snapshot. What I did when I went down there, I went with a cam, and what I want to do is, in the next two to three weeks, I wanna release a film through the eyes of Wyclef Jean so you understand what’s going on first hand” said Jean.
