[via SawPanse.com] Actress Magdaluna Georges, well-known as Mercedes, and boyfriend producer James Lobertho Mireau caused quite at the Haitian Flag Festival last month when they appeared together for the first time since she announced they were dating. The couple seemed extremely happy and really enjoying spending time together.

They both confirmed the relationship with a Facebook relationship status update -from being “single” to “in a relationship”.

Not sure if the couple has been engaged or married, but Mercedes also changed her last name on Facebook to “Mireau” (Lobertho’s last name).

Born to Haitian parents from Port-Salut, Haiti but raised in Spring Valley, NY, Mercedes attended Ramapo High School in New York where she started modeling and acting at the age of 16 and graduated in 2002. She left New York and moved to Florida to pursue her acting and modeling dream. Her latest action movie ‘Lala‘ (starring Desmas Duclair and filmed by Samuel Vincent) was a big hit in Miami last summer. ‘Lala‘ is now on DVD.
