On Saturday September 26, 2009, Watson Productions hosted an open casting call for their newest movie project called “Isabelle” at the Art Serve Library Auditorium in Sunrise, FL.
Over 30 people were waiting in the auditorium to be auditioned. The auditions were reviewed by a panel of 3 qualified judges with extensive background in movie productions and acting.
What are Casting Calls? According to CastingBiz.com, Casting calls are
notices made to the public or to various casting agencies for requirement of actors for an upcoming production. source: http://www.actingbiz.com
They are often used for filling out the remaining cast after the main actors are decided. A-list actors are not required to attend casting calls. They become a part of the project through inside dealings. We got a chance to speak with some of the performers at the casting calls, here is what they got to say about the auditions.
Slated to be one of the best Haitian drama movies, Isabelle will start shooting very soon. Isabelle is also Watson‘s second drama movie after La Secretaire de l’Avocat. Good luck to the production team!
