Synopsis:

CHINCHILLA FILMS is looking CREW and CASTING for a 10 min. short film about the life of three characters in a story about freedom and redemption.

Lucia is a woman struggling with a secret that she has kept from her husband for ten years. But the day of their 10th anniversary she is preparing to reveal this secret. Although, she is not expecting that her confession will lead her to an unexpected event that will change the course of the rest of her life.

Seeking CASTING:

LUCIA: Classy woman, blond hair, 35-45; 5′ 5″- 5′ 6.9″; limber; the secret that she is keeping has make her un unhappy woman. She used to have a great sense of humor and passion for living; we still see some glimpses of that; Now, she is trying to find her way out to start over; actress should have sense of rhythm and should be able to dance.

LUIS: Caucasian; 40 – 50; 5′ 6.9″ – 5′ 10.9″; brown hair; balding slightly; not so limber; intellectual; with dark sense of humor; experienced actor in theater better.

PORCELLA: African – American; preferably with afro hair; 5′ 5″ – 5′ 8.9″; 25 – 30; witty, spontaneous, with physical comedy abilities, athletic ( much like a dancer); charming; magnetic personality.

JOHNNY : all ethnicities; 30 – 40 great sense of humor; with physical abilities like bartending;

MALE DANCERS: 5’6¨- 6’5¨must have strong techniques in contemporary dance.

SINGER who plays guitar: must have strong knowledge in hispanic music: boleros, flamencos, rancheras, etc.

DRUMMERS: must have strong knowledge on african-american rhythms. great skill for improvisation.

Auditions will be held at the New York Film Academy / 100 East 17th Street – New York, NY 10003 from april 30 to 4 may from 7:00 pm.

Rehearsals starts in three weeks; shooting second week of june.
