Carline Joseph Biography

Carline Joseph was born in Carrefours, Haiti. She moved to the United States right before she attended high school.
She went on continuing her secondary school in West Charlotte High School; and after graduating moved to Florida where she attended South Eastern University and majored in Business Administration.
It was in High School that she made her first stage appearance in the school version of the popular Broadway show ‘Grease’. She was acclaimed for her performance by the Performing Arts Department at her school. Even tough many years passed without her thinking about getting back on a stage, the evolution of Haitian Cinema had soon engage her into developing that talent again. Carline was very cautious about whom she would work to make her debut in Haitian Cinema. So when given the opportunity to play a role in ‘The green card’ a film by Jean Gardy Bien-Aimé, Carline opt to give it a try; thus made it her first movie role.
Carline always had a passion for writing, so after that working experience with Jean Gardy Bien-aimé in the green card, she trusted him to direct her first project ‘Destiny’ a film she wrote with the assistance of Betty Lemite (Inedit, Destiny); also starring Mecca (kidnappings), and Marlena Tores (Division). Carline wanted to explore her talent beyond the Haitian Film industry; she wanted to move up to an International scale; so when Nigerian movie Producer Samuel Adeyoye summoned for Haitian actors to merge with the Nigerians in a project; Carline was the actress of choice. She held a significant role playing opposing Omotola (Nigerian actress), Van Vicker (Ghanaian actor), and our well known Reginald Lubin, in the movie ‘Mindgame’ directed by John Uche.
With 2 major roles under her belt, and having worked with well known actors and directors; Carline is ready to take the industry by storm. Although now she is focusing on writing, and plan to continue staring in her own projects; Carline will always welcome any good projects, for her main goal is to contribute to Haitian Cinema.
When not behind the camera; Carline enjoys spending quality time with her family and close friends.
